Cecil Otter - Cross Countries

Well, all of my dreams came true on April Fool's nonetheless...but Cecil Otter will be releasing his first solo record in eight years. "Dear Echo" is a six song EP. It is available as a digital download here...or you can stream it hurr. Either way, Cecil has always held one of the heaviest influences over the space that my heart, brain, and headphones intertwine.

Mr. Lif - Because They Made It That Way

This song, along with a few others, is responsible for sparking my initial interest in hip-hop. It opened up a whole new world for me and made me realize that there was tons of amazing music out there...I just had to be open to it and/or willing to find it on my own. Now let me take you on a trip down memory lane...I put this song on the first cd I ever burned. I listened to it on my walkman everyday on the bus ride home from school. Don't judge me, but I miss spending time building epic playlists to burn onto CDs. I get it, we can just make digital playlist now, but nothing compares to the process of burning the perfect cd and decoratively labeling it. There was a whole science to it.

Miguel - Simplethings

Mood. Motto. Always. I'll never get tired of this song.

Gayngs - No Sweat

Shout out to my hairdresser for putting me onto this recently...kept me mellow as fxck when I was traveling during the holidays. Couldn't even hear any of the hundreds of children running around like wild animals in the airport or crying on the plane. Speaking of crying, you should also check out their track Cry. Shit is so mellow it's solid.

X Ambassadors - Low Life

Came across this the song the other day during a random shuffle session. Thank the god damn universe because I have been in dire need of some new tunes. So far I dig X Ambassadors' stuff, as well as this Jamie Commons dude. k byeeeeee

Guess who's back, back again...

Soo....after a ridiculously long hiatus, I am back! I have missed the shit out of my slice of the internet! Long story short, life shit happened and my blog got lost in the mix of things. I realize that the various sections of my blog are dated as hell but bare with me while I update everything. It will take me a minute to get my artwork, photography, poetry, etc., pages up to date, but in the mean time I'll leave the link to my most recent online portfolio [here]. If you're interested you can check it out and see what I have been working on while I was being a ghost.

Happy as hell to be back! Lets get weird with it.
